Event wrote ups

Hi

Having been new to Arkaz and the boards here, I have been trying to read up on the posts to try and get a sense of how things are like and how things are done. I have just finished reading the posts by the DM's, in regards to Players posting write ups to events that there characters are involved in. How do the DM's want them down? I mean, for example, on Avlis the Players that are the main focus(for lack of a better word) of the event or are most involved, do the write ups and then usually everyone else adds their own characters perpective to it. But it does not seem to be that way here on Arkaz(correct me if I have gotten the wrong impression). I do not mind doing write ups(even though my typing sucks ; ) )...I just like to know if I should do a write up,even though my PC did not do much or was not one of the mains of the event in question. Just would like to know, thats all (not trying to ensinuate anything about anyone or anything).

I think most of the DMs just want to see something, anything, for a write up of events. As long as it's in character, anyone writing up is fair game. I've done quite a few of them where I was a bit player, and one where I showed up really late. But yeah, IC is always the way to go. Beyond that, I think anything at all is nice. Remember, though, character journals are OOC, so while they are nice to see, I guess, they can't be responded to or commented on in any way.

Hey Cameron, Loki had it right in that we don't care much who or how something is written up-we just want to see something! When an event travels from the game to the forums, it allows other players to get involved, gives ideas to the DM involved, etc. Post away!

Just remember, no talking for NPCs, and you can always PM the DMs before a post so we can OK it.

Ok..thank you all for the information. Seems more people post in thier journals then on the boards about events that happen. Well I will try my best to do write ups, but with my internet problems, may take a few tries.
