summon monster functions

Post by chupacabra » Thu Mar 27, 2008 10:14 am

I was wondering if you use the special function menu to allow different summons to be set on the monster summoning? I was trying to see there, i could have sworn in the past I was able to set my monster summons... but now I get an elder fire elemental... and when i try to use the special function menu option I get:

1. advanced magic
2. shard functions
3. unstick location
4. fix ultravision bug
5. previous
6. exit

? is this on purpose or should I sign on for a mantis account and fill in a bug report there?

thanks, Im not crazed over this issue, just wondering if its been changed back to NWN default, which is elementals I think..?

Hey, I know I'm new here. But this bug still persists over two years later. I notice it's inconsistent. Once in a blue moon, the option for customizing summons will appear. (don't know why) But even then it won't necessarily let you customize the summoning you want; which one's are available seems random and limited in number (1 or 2 so far) and not usually the one you might want.

IDK. But since someone else has already mentioned this problem, I thought I would just give it a little *bump* to say "Yah, still here."

That's all.
Thanks ^^.

Not sure about the menu not appearing at all, however, the summon monster functions that are available are dependent on your caster level. For example, a person with access to second level spells will only see Summon Monster I & II. A person with access to 9th level spells should see all of the summon options 1-9.
It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not weakness, that is life.
