Just wondering. How is it supposed to work from lvl 4?

after level 4 there is a xp loss, however you get the xp back from completing the Death Quest.
However the quests are not done so for now..you get the xp back when you return to the temple...however if someone raises you, you lose the xp...though no one should have the power to do that yet.

i didnt get the xp back when returning to the temple, thats why i ask.
If one is meant to then its bugged.
Might be connected to the fact that i deleveled when i lost the xp?

yes. The XP loss and XP gained is calculated at the level you are when the script runs.
So you will have lost 200xp for dying at lvl 4, and then when you leave the death plane the script finds you at lvl 3 and says you shouldnt be getting it back
