Housing Authorities

Ok.. I have been working on getting a house built. I have gotten everything but the cloth, the oak planks, and the wooden boards. The cloth, I seem to put in the chest just fine, and likewise with the oak planks. However the problem I seem to be having is that the wooden boards just seem to spit back into Lomir's inventory each time I try setting them in there. Keep in mind, I realize it won't take boards that were gained from just busting doors, these were crafted by yours truly. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
