Traps

Post by Daemona » Mon Jul 30, 2007 8:09 pm

A question is PC setting of traps. I just had the misfortune or activating a trapped door that was not trapped in the module in the past. I assumed that traps on doors and transitions would be treated as showing bad taste. Sonja was not badly hurt but a new character would have been DPed. Actions like this I would believe to chase away new players.

My question is, where are traps permitted or forbidden?

General rule is simple 'If it's IC then it's fine'

however runnign around setting traps just to try and kill low level players will get you in a world of hurt.

If players set traps its curtesy to hang around and watch people get hit by them.

Setting traps and leaving the area or logging off completely will mean bad things happen
