No more late night gaming for me

The old laptop I was using for evening gaming in my lounge while Mrs Zombie watched TV is dead. Given its age, the insurance $$ isnt likley to cover a replacement. I can run NWN on another laptop but the performance is shockingly bad.

So, I may be able to hang out at the fire and chat, but complicated things like walking or heavens forbid combat are not going to happen.

Seems like I'm not the only one who needs a new compy.
The good news is that they keep getting cheaper.

Well, its official. I heard back from the insurance company. My ‘gaming laptop’ (we will call it that to distinguish it from my current laptop) is 8 years old, worth $103 and isn’t worth repairing. So for the foreseeable future my night time gaming will be on my crap-top (newer laptop but with no 3d graphics card). Woe is me. No late night power gaming for me.

Check out Toshiba... They have some good ones for around $330.00 USD at Best Buy. Don't know how much that would be in Kiwi-land.
