As the team consider what should go into a NWN2 version of Arkaz oe thing that particularly interests me is what people consider to be negatives about persistent worlds.
Currently on my list of bad things are:
PvP rather than CvC
Looting
'I'm coming back regardless so I can fight EVERYONE' mentality
What else do people not like about Persistent worlds
Persistent world opinions

On Looting I liked one of the other ideas which is to carry everything to the DP with you. Looting other than PP is eliminated.

At times I got the impression that some of the CvC may have basically been based on trying to take certain items off another character.

I think looting is more a function of the type of players that would do it, not as much a "fault of PWs". People that loot without a valid IC reason are people that you just don't want around.
I think having your gear lying there for anyone to take is a very exciting part of the dying process. It makes it much more "realistic" in that you *really* try to avoid death.
Personally I don't think most folks try to avoid death enough. They usually don't RP enough fear of it like we would if we were really there. It's the lack of pain. They know they will come back and carry on. Being lootable makes your heart pound that much harder when you are on a naked run.
And like it was said above, there's many many mechanisms to eliminate looting other than not going with a PW.
That being said, if you got a good solid group of players that are going to be around for the long haul, why not make it an event-based server instead of a PW? Just a thought.
