Last Trip to Hogwarts

Considering where GP and I went last year on vacation, I await the final Harry Potter movie with both joy and sadness. A lot of young people have grown up with Harry and for those of us who were older when we first picked up the books, Harry, Ron, Hermionie and the rest are like our children in a way. We have watched both Harry and his RL counterpart, Daniel Radcliffe, grow up in both the pages of the books and on screen.
It is sad to think of future generations not knowing the anticipation of waiting for the next book to be released with Midnight Release parties at our local bookstores dressing up as Witches and Wizards in the Muggle world, of waiting for the next movie or perhaps even watching them on the big screen with a theater full of other Harry fans.
My fondest wish and hope is that Harry's World will become like "The Wizard of Oz", a beloved classic that for me I never grow tired of and every year take at least one journey down the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy, Toto and her friends ("I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too!").
So to my fellow Gryffindors, Sytherins, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs I raise a mug of Butterbeer and give you one final toast! To Hogwarts, J. K. Rowling and to us! May they live forever in the minds hearts and imaginations of future generations.
