Dearly beloved Arkaz players, it is high time our loot system received a total body makeover! To that end, I am coming to you, the players, for help-we need loot ideas to put into our new system.

Rules
  • #1 PMs with the info are to be sent to me with the title, "New Loot."
#2 Do clearly define item name, item description and item properties.
#3 Do keep the item properties to a +2 maximum.
#4 Don't have the item related to any one player character(no 'Gloves of Ronan,' or, 'Tira's Ring.')
#5 Don't violate obvious Arkaz lore in the description(no 'ring of were-jedia ninjas of Nuvar')

Item properties could be +2 to an ability, or ... !
  • +6 Skill points.
    +3 Skill Points, +1 to a stat.
Level 1 Spell, once per day
Up to Level 6 spells with charges
    Damage Resistance up to 10/-
    Damage Reduction of 5/+1
Weapons with +1d4 Damage, +1 Enhancement
If you ever went, "Gosh darn, I just found ~another~ book of Lore," this is an opportunity to make a difference! Send in those PMs!

ForsakenPlague

Psssst, even if you only occasionally visit Arkaz, you can still participate!
Pssspsssst! Items don't ~need~ to be combat-focused, (for example, a tuxedo with +3 persuade, or books w/ nifty descriptions!)

Yay!

Does anyone know if there is a list somewhere of the various tokens that can be found on Arkaz? I think the tokens are awesome, and maybe some new ones could be created. I'd hate to repeat something that already exists though.

I am very much interested in gettign in on this. Would it be worth making a topic so we dont end up duplicating effort or ideas? For example I intend to make replacements for several of the boring bioware stock items like protection rings and amulets and the like, like I made for Hala. Also items based of various groups and organisations I think.

fun times.

IMO Anything that is craftable should have a chance of showing up as loot. If it can be made on Arkaz, someone might have lost one or had it stolen. Of course only things meeting the power guidelines for drops should be included.

Arrows, in larger quantities would be nice. Consumables are always appreciated.

tehe! I havent checked my spelling yet...
Sahagin Trinket
The Sahugin are a vicious aquatic race that live in the ocean depths. This amulet was made by a Sahagin shaman to honour one of their strange octopus headed gods. It depicts an octopus and as the magic is used one of the arms shrivels until they are all gone.
(Cast evards tentacles 8 times and one of +1 saves / +1 ac 2 versions)

I've received some excellent submissions so far, but by no means do we have enough! Please keep those ideas coming.

A couple thoughts to add. Consider making lesser and greater versions of the same item, and series of items following a comparative theme-an item for every inventory slot that somehow relates to each other.

Just to give you guys an idea, I've received approximately 50 core ideas so far, with another 25 ideas(lesser/greater variants) spawned from the original.

What is the verdict? We need more! More potions, more consumables(magically charged trinkets), more weapons and armor!

Keep those ideas coming, and thank you for the ideas I've received so far!

Hey guys and gals, the ideas I've received so far are spectacular, but, as you might have already guessed, we need more!

Keep those ideas coming, and make sure to read the original post for the guidelines!
