*Posted up prominently in high traffic areas in the cities of Nuvar, LeVallon, Heroes Walk, Ironforge, Avarine's ONE and only Village, Shal'Tirr'em, Yamman Arda, and the Goblin Village. There are even several stacks of the fliers left for the taking just in front of the obelisk that takes folks off to Ysgard
((Hint hint, nudge nudge))*
((What it says...))
Knights and Princesses
Engagement and Costume Party
What: A fairy-tale themed costume party to formally announce the engagement of...
Vincent Oselli and Kieran Moros
Where: Nuvar's Community Center
When: October 29th 8:00PM EST
Who: Our friends, family, loved ones, pets, mortal enemies, sworn rivals, and complete strangers
Salutations everyone!
My future bride and I would like to invite you all to come join us for an evening filled with good times, good booze and good news! As the theme of this party says, it's all about happily ever afters and merry endings so dress up as your favorite story book character or creature. The orphanage has a wide selection of such books if you need some inspiration. There will be games, dancing, and performances, this is not a party you'll want to miss!

My apologies to everyone that felt they were ICly unable to attend given the nature of this party.
While I did propose the idea to the DMs and wait for approval prior to making the announcement, I should have had the foresight to see it was not appropriate for me to hold the party focused around my own character for such a public and widely celebrated holiday.
For anyone who felt slighted or otherwise intentionally excluded, please know this was not my intention. Should I attempt to host any sort of public and open gathering again in the future, I will make certain to take into account all players and characters to avoid limiting the welcomed attendees to was could be assumed as an exclusive group.

OOC: Jeeze, seriously, Cap?!? You organized a wonderful, open event and did lots of work for it! I'm speaking personally, not for the team: If you feel a fraction of an ounce of bad about this, someone owes you an apology, not vice versa. Shame on them. YOU ROCK!

Ya, seriously, Cap. You did a great job. It was an IC engagement/costume party. If somebody wanted to hold an anit-engagement party or another type of event as well, they could have.

They did have all week/weekend, ya know.
You don't have to OOCly apoligize for anything IC. If people IC chose not to come for IC reasons, that's perfectly fine. 8)
Edit: besides.. just because they weren't at the party, doesn't mean they weren't bothered by the DMs online.

I am replying from a freaking DSi.
Caparzo, I'm sorry you were offended that some of us did not attend the party for IC reasons. I told you already that I wasn't upset and talked to you for like an hour about this on IRC. I have no idea why you still feel the need for public apologies for things we are not upset over.
It's all IC.

In response to Luminance(and others): I know, you and I discussed this last night and came to terms.
However I felt those not feeling able to attend may not have been limited to only yourself in this matter and believed a formal apology should be issued in the event there were any others out there who had not spoken up. If I am mistaken about this then that is good, but I still felt as though I needed to say something.
No one needs to apologize to me for any words which were said. No one voiced their disapproval openly or rudely to me. However that does not change the fact that I agree it was inappropriate to take the holiday for my own character's function. So if the apology isn't needed then disregard and ignore it, I offer it anyway for anyone who actually did feel slighted.

Can I add that you weren't the only one involved, Cap? It was both of us, even though you did all of the work thanks to my beastly work schedule lately. I don't mind you taking all the credit, but I'm not about to let you take all the blame.

You did the work, but I could've said something if it should've been different, so hush already.

*Has already moved on because Cap doesn't need to apologize, though wishes she had the time to show up to said event with Elry, since it would have driven Laura insane to attend*
