To those in the mino cave. I completely missed the message in the combat window of:
You are unable to draw the magical power necessary to cast this spell
So the group entered the area of the lower area without any mind protection. Bad enough but the two that failed were Sonja and Rune. Between the two of us we killed more allies than the spawns combined.
In the past two times on Tattoo it is apparent as the selection list did not appear but on protection from evil that is not available.
I am so sorry to have created such a problem.

no worries at all... quite the opposite. I always like it when troubles like that occur for the group. Its boring and lame if nothing surprising or challenging comes up from time to time.
