I posted this in the CoPaP discussion: http://www.copap.org/viewtopic.php?t=1701
Drysh wrote:I just noticed that my character (Keen Smalldragon) has a diffrent movement rate: His mvement rate is set to 4 (normal) in the bic file, instead of 0 (PC). That means the character is slower than other PCs. It was difficult to notice (he is a kobold (slower because of size) and a barbarian), so I'm not sure where did bug hapenned. He is originaly from Rockhome, and has been in many planes, but lately only in Hala (both servers), Arkaz and Avlis (Wilds, LeOr, Mikona, Ferrell and Deglos).

I know of one other character that has the same bug: Fade (I don't remember the last name or the player's name).

Urgent: find what's causing it (and where) before it damages more characters.

Also... I would like to have him fixed, please.

EDIT: I did some research and I don't think it is possible for a script to alter the bic file that way. My suspect now are the portaling codes.
Please, post there if you know more about it. This is a serious bug, and (I think) the characters will need a bic edit to be fixed. So we need to find it fast.

need a little more info.

1) when did you find this bug?
2) how did you test it?
3) where did you make your character?
4) do you know anyone else with this bug?

To help dispel the portalling theory further, let me add that I just had this fixed on Avlis yesterday, and portalling over here (and Ysgard) did NOT cause a reoccurrance. :)

Also, Goldie has had this problem since day one of her creation. I just assumed it was how my computer was, etc. So this is definitely not a portaling problem.

I opened up a series of my bic files. Mine reset on character level 6 somewhere between 10/8/2005 and 10/22/05.

it's possible, which is strange because all that did was change the AppearanceType of her character. I'll pull her bic and reset the movement rate
