Going to do some maint work

I've noticed some interesting errors in the event logs on the DB server that makes me think their might be some write errors to the array. The array itself isn't showing any errors and reports clean but I want to play it safe and run some tools. This will require some downtime. I just checked and no one is one so I'm going to take the system down for a little bit.
I'll report when it's back up.

I'm running a rescan of the array. It'll take a while. We might be down overnight. I will keep you all informed.

finished the scan. Found some block issues and went ahead and just replaced the drive to be on the safe side. Server is restarting.

Thanks Terry. This seems to have cleaned up the vault issue, at least for me. It would take 30 to 40 seconds to bring up the vault for the past couple of weeks.

thank you terry oh fixer of all borked things. i think my char vault needs a little extra magic tho, as i know have two copies of Elorwyn now, one just says 'Elorwyn' and is a barbarian with an empty char sheet. The other is the correct character 'Elorwyn Luminarem' but when i log her on i get an error message saying i'll be logged off in 5 mins. Could you please use your technomancy to attempt a revive character spell on Elorwyn Luminarem (the wizard, not the barbarian). many many thanks!
