Looks like while I was at work my kids were playing in the office and knocked the server over. As far as I can tell we lost 2 drives. I'm going to order replacments...but it might be a day or two. I'll keep you all posted.

*hugs Terry* Kids do things like that. It's frustrating when it happens, but they grow up so fast. *sighs* My daughter graduates from high school next week.... Looking back, the stuff she knocked over and the things she broke...*shrugs* just stuff. :)

Sorry, some of us have a life. ;)

replaced the drives. But had some bad news. The drives failed during the full backup which means I do not have a good backup to recover from. Because this was the vault server we're in trouble. I sent the disks off to a data recovery center but I'm looking at 400 to 700 to recover the data. I'm still working on it.

good news is after a ton of research and calling on several vmware experts I know I was able to track down a vmfs driver for windows and was able to mount the drive. I'm extracting the files now and if all goes well I might be able to recover myself. I'll keep everyone posted.
