Plot Start
Black Jake and his crew are a fearsome bunch of undead pirates, who are almost indestructible. They are seeking an artifact that washed ashore, on Nuvar many years ago, that is the key to their curse of undeath. They are so keen to find it they will think nothing of cutting down every living soul that stands in their way.
Plot Events
Various small raids by landing parties of skeletal pirates on the coast line.
The Seer gave some clues.
A group of adventurers find out that an artifact binds the pirates with immortality.
They seek it for a ceremony to remove the curse, but that would leave a crew of human pirates to terrorise the islands.
The Seer can reenchant the artifact so it only removes immortality but not returning them to life.
The pirates have the artifact, and kidnapped the son of one of the artifacts creators in order to sacrifice him and remove the curse.
The adventurers rescued the boy the night the stars were in alignment, but the boy was killed the following day. Hes soul now rests in the same curse as the pirates.
Research begins to find an alternate way to remove the curse.
A group of adventurers were able to lift the curse from the majority of the pirates although Black Jake escaped.
