History
Sonja found herself pulled from the sea by a ship heading to Nuvar. Dropped of at the docks she followed the only road to the small hamlet.
Those she met treated her with kindness and accepted her as if she were a long time resident. There were very few people other than the town residents and she began to explore with three of them primarily, Alphonse, Cat and an elven woman by the name of Nat who later became as close as any sister could be.
As she settled into life within the small town her dreams of her youth returned. The dreams here seemed to be more real and stronger. Though some would consider them nightmares to her they were a source of comfort and reassurance.
There was a rumor of a great white dragon who came to vex the island once every twenty years to feed. While traveling the woodlands alone she came across the dragon and he immediately killed her and walked off to feed. The dragon’s name she later found to be Sirrush and was believed by all to be a terror.
As she had not been accepted by a god of the islands the god of the undead Helthor constantly sent his minions to harass her at every step. His voice would even scream in her head at times. The worst of his followers were vampires he would send. At one time she fell to one of them and was bitten. Had it not been for a kindly follower of Olyrn known only as the Lonesome One she would have joined their ranks against her will. Due to his vast knowledge she was saved from that fate. Since that fateful day she has been a devout follower of Olyrn and remains steadfast in his service.
The Lonesome One later gave his soul to return his daughter Clare’s twins to life. The soul was supposedly needed by the vampire to perform the task. As it turned out it was not and he holds it still in his possession. She had then and there sworn an oath to not rest till it was freed from him.
As time passed and her dreams intensified she started to have visions while traveling. On each of four occurrences she came upon wyrmlings of different colors and demeanors. As she met with each one she developed a better understanding of herself. To this day she is not sure if she saw them or it was all in her mind. Later in her life she met with people from a land called Hala who looked at her and knew what was happening in her life, even before she did.
It was during the time these visitors came that Sirrush started to change in her eyes. He no longer seemed to be the monster everyone believed and although he would defend himself and attack others he never again harmed her in the least. He started to call her Little Dragon and there was almost a fondness she could hear in his voice. She also felt completely at ease with him.
One of her closest friends Alphonse died in search of his life’s love. So desperate to find her he fell under the influence of Helthor. She met with him often and they spoke even though he was now a vampire. As time passed and he realized that he made the wrong decision she assisted him and through the power of Olyrn his soul was taken from the grasp of Helthor and into Olyrn’s domain.
She has an adopted daughter that she cares for a great deal. Anna was rescued as an infant by an elven woman named Lily from a group of Balors. When Lily had to return to her home world she left Anna in Sonja’s care. Soon Anna had three adoptive mothers Lily, Cat and Sonja. It was apparent that Anna was special in some way as several demons sought her blood. This is the reason a special spell was concocted by the dead Made Mage that accelerated time for the reader and what ever they held. Lily being the one to be affected least read the spell and in moments outside the spell Anna had aged seven years and her blood was now useless. Her birth father, a death cleric of Helthor, as it turned out wanted her blood to ascend to godhood himself. Due to an enormous undertaking the residents and visitors defeated him. Anna then completed the ritual and ascended to godhood herself.
