History

The true origins of Helthor are unknown, but that has not stopped the rumors. Some say he was a mortal Necromancer who accumulated souls and used them to ascend. Others claim he was promoted into the Arkaz pantheon only by using an artifact of great power.

The Temple of Helthor is accessed via a portal in the graveyard near Heroes Walk. The temple was once and still is an enormous crypt.

In the glory days of Helthor, the temple was often visited by Necromancers who wished to hone their skills, and pay homage to the god of Death. Now, the temple is not so popular, and rarely sees visitors. The church of Valshar, the followers of the daughter of Helthor, takes credit for the weakening of Helthor's power.
