History

In a time forgotten and unknown by most, Thessela sacrificed herself and transformed herself into a vampyress, not for the sake of immortality, but for the good of the rest of the islands. Unfortunately, as a creature of the former god Helthor (or creature of undeath), her sacrifice is not always understood. It was a price she had to pay, and live with it eternally... or so she thought. She sought a "cure" to undeath, and in the end she did... but not in the way she expected to. Thessela ascended to the rank of the Goddess of Death as if by accident, and now watches over those who pass on.

There is a small chapel to Thessela in the town of Nuvar.

Principles

The church of Thessela is neutral to almost all political matters. They are care-takers of graveyards, giving funerals for the homeless, hunters of undead, and often philosophers/monks meditating the meaning of life & death. While the church preach that death should not be feared as it is a natural process that happens to all mortals, they hold that one should not seek death senselessly.
