History

Diego DeLeonne was born in a small hamlet in the Elysia region of Avlis. The son of poor farmers, he would not conform to their wishes that he follow in the family footsteps and become a farmer himself.

At a young age, he found himself enthralled by the occasional travelling entertainer that would stop in the hamlet, and he soon started writing his own poetry in secret. He also desired to one day be a hero like he heard about in so many stories, and he pestered one of the farmers, who was a veteran of the Elyisia-M'chek war, to train him in arms. Thus began his two great pursuits in life, weapon mastery and the bardic arts.

Soon after this, he came across some young bravos tormenting a frail young boy around his own age. Taking a tree branch, he chased them off, and soon became life long friends with the scholarly young Thomas Drakkon. The two became fast friends, and after several misadventures together, they relocated to Ferrell.

It was during this time that Diego met other close, lifelong friends, Bruno, Sally, and Willow. Diego joined FEAT and AKN during this time. He was also instrumental in the founding of TOES, as a casual adventuring group, even helping to come up with its name. It was also while in Ferrell that he also met Goldie, a young cleric of Cha'reth to whom he was greatly attracted.

For a brief time, Diego was trying to compete with Daemon for the affections of the young cleric. His last memory from then was talking to Goldie in Kitiyana Hill, and then he awoke naked in the Roseberry Woods with no memory of how he had gotten there.

Thomas had been looking for the missing Diego for years, and finally found him wandering Port Eridanus in a confused state, but no older than he had been when he vanished. Thomas soon informed him that Goldie and Daemon has married, had a child named Noor, and that Goldie was now dead. He then took Diego through several portals to his new homeland of Arkaz. There he was joyfully reunited with old friends, and made several new ones. As the years have passed, Diego has slowly matured from being a brash young hothead, into a more patient, thoughtful young man.

Diego has fallen in love with the islands and now calls Nuvar his home. He has already been involved in the effort to save Goldie's spirit and the investigations of the mind flayer menance in his short time on the islands. With much help from others on the island, he hosted the first bard festival for Nuvar, and hopes that it is the start of a tradition. He also dreams of establishing a Bard College in Nuvar.

He feels very protective of young Noor, as he very much sees her mother in her, and also feels a bit like a big brother to her as they are close in physical age. He was also smitten at first meeting with the beautiful winged mage Sonja Pyre, and is currently trying hard to win her heart.
