History
Miranda, or "Andy," travelled to Arkaz after hearing about the Nuvar Mage School, which she then successfully joined after less than a week after arriving on the island with her pseudodragon familiar, Molly. She was quickly taken by Ronan Grey as his apprentice. She now holds the rank of senior archmage and has been named as the school's scrying master and head instructor of wizardry, but she will still often introduce herself merely as Ronan's apprentice.
At one point, Andy was openly pursuing the study of aeromancy and still commonly uses electricity as the primary element in her spells. She also once had a distinctive set of inky black gauntlets with electricity arcing across them, but no longer seems to wear them. More recently, her main focus seems to be in necromancy. Though Miranda generally keeps the details of her own studies to herself, her former apprentice is a known pale master.
Miranda keeps few friends and is an introverted girl who spends a lot of time pursuing her studies alone. She has been in a relationship with Zachary Jor'dre for ten years. Though they were separated for a time, whatever problems were causing trouble between them have apparently been sorted out, and the couple is now back together.
Appearance
Andy is maybe five and a half feet tall and a bit overweight. She has a pudgy young-looking face with a small upturned sort of nose, fairly nice lips, grey eyes with short pale lashes and thick light-colored eyebrows, and a large number of freckles. Her hair is long, straight, and ginger red, usually kept up and out of her face in a plain sort of style. Her hands are small and nearly always gloved. She also apparently has SPECTACULAR (though freckly) legs.
She is not a particularly graceful girl and tends to move in as simple and efficient a way as possible, except when casting, which she seems confident with.
She is usually seen wearing a cloak of the Nuvar mage school and carrying a staff spiked with thorns and topped with a bronze rose. She also carries a distinctive and ancient-looking black spellbook with silver finishing and runework on the cover.
On her right hand, she wears a ring decorated with a dragon curling around a rose. On her left hand, she wears a silver ring bearing the image of a skull with rubies set in its eyes. She wears both rings over her gloves.
Though she has put a lot of effort into getting rid of it, she has a very slight low-class Arvian "Cobalt" accent.
