The World Stones are elemental focus stones crafted by the Maker. These stones allow the Maker direct access to the elemental planes. With this access the Maker has gained nearly unlimited power and unending life. The stones were also used by the Maker to craft the Islands of Arkaz directly from the elemental planes. The drawback being that the islands are held together with the power of the stones and the loss of a stone will result in the loss of the island.
Through world events it has also become known that others besides the Maker can be bound to the stones as well. This binding grants the being untold power and unending life as well.
