History

Vincent was born among a tribe of druids, rangers and other woodland friendly folk. The son of Natalie, his celestial mother, and Sven, his human father. Vincent was told his mother died shortly after giving birth to him, he placed tulips on her grave every year for his birthday. His father, the tribe's shaman, did his best to raise the child on his own. Enforcing strict rules and expectations, Vincent's early years were lived in an environment that demanded maturity and left no room for a normal childhood. He was sent out from the tribe at the age of twelve as a part of his coming of age. His purpose is now all but forgotten to him as the first encounter with the world outside his tribe was in the town of Silesia.

A city so corrupt and full of crime is was not uncommon for the law keepers to be paid off twice by the same crook in one day. A sheltered and barely clothed Vincent was picked up, literally off the street by a small gang of roughians who mistook his tribal tattoos as a mark of his status within this world of crime. Soon learning the truth of the young boy the gang took him under their wing, showing him the ins and outs of their way of life. Theft, lies, smuggling, and brawling all soon became his daily past times, as well as the luxurious rewards such a life offers. Drinking and gambling remain two of his most enjoyed activities, though not when mixed. Vincent was far from being a perfect criminal, having spent just as much time in prison as out. As he grew older he grew wiser about the crimes he committed to survive, in addition to ruthless. A fair number of men were killed by his hands for only the change in their pockets.

A bad string of luck struck Vincent one day as he was having a drink in his usual tavern in the afternoon. A fellow patron chose to have words with him for no more reason that to insult him over his silver hair. Vincent, not being the sort to let such a thing slide, quickly exchanged insults and rebukes back at the man. The argument remained heated for some time but did not come to blows until the man called his mother an angel whore. Those who witnessed the fight, if it could be called one, attest that Vincent did not stop striking the man until his own arm was limp. Leaving the man drowning in a pool of his own blood Vincent turned back to the bar, finished his cheap whiskey, paid his tab, and departed without a word as the other patrons observed in silence. He greeted the law men he expected would be waiting for him outside with a saluting wave and twisted grin, unconcerned about the time in prison he knew he'd serve. To his surprise the men did not arrest him but instead drew swords, informing him that the man whose blood still stained his clothes was none other than the guard captain's son. Quickly understanding the guards intentions Vincent stormed back into the crowded bar and made his escape through a concealed passage and out a back door. Knowing the town was no longer safe for him Vincent stowed away on a ship departing to sea, a ship which did not complete it's intended voyage.

Behaviors/Mannerisms

• A naturally jovial person. Vincent is rarely seen without a grin and often gives off a carefree aura.
• Quips and snarky remarks take up the majority of his conversations.
• A bad habit of rubbing folks the wrong way just for fun.
• In a group he makes a point of including himself in any dialogs, whether it pertains to him or not. Even known to carry on two or more conversations at a time.
• Even under pressure and danger Vincent makes the effort to keep a positive attitude. Making light of a bad turn of events or refusing to falter under a horrible fate that has befallen him. Though this annoys most of his friends he continues believing "It's better to jest deal with what's next than fret over whatever the hell it is that just happened."
• Though during first impressions appearing to lack compassion Vincent indeed cares deeply for those he considers friends. He understands there are times when it is appropriate to be serious and if spoken to in private reveals a very understanding side, even wise on occasion.
• A very emotional person, quick to show his temper towards those who earn the privilege.
• Though still considered arrogant he keeps his ego in check. Only the occasional slip and keeping to his roots of responding to compliments with, "Mieh, it's a talent." as though it were nothing.

Features

• The marks of an Aasimar are blatent upon Vincent. His silver hair especially stands him out in a crowd and his ice blue eyes contain flakes of gold that shimmer, when he manages to keep them open at least.
• At 5'11" 167lbs Vincent is a very lean figure. Toned muscle on his long limbs give him a scrappy look.
• He cares about his appearance and his rarely seen without product in his hair, which he jokes is tree sap, or his vast array of facial piercings. His favorite of which are the trio of studs over his right eye and a double labret in his lower lip.

Kira

• A gorgeous gray female wolf who has seen fit to adopt Vincent.
• She is the one who dragged him from the sea when he washed upon Nuvar.
• The two care very much for one another, Vincent never treating her like a pet and allowing her to roam and wander away from him as she pleases.
• Often the voice of reason between the two, keeping Vincent from taking overly foolish actions.
• Early during their bonding period Vincent lost in a fight against a pack of savage wolves. Kira abandoned Vincent to follow with this stronger pack until the time came when he returned not as himself but as a proud wolf and challenged the Alpha. Victorious, Kira returned to Vincent's side, supporting him unquestioningly ever since.
• During the time of Ream and Jared in the Cult of Xanis, Kira fell ill from a poisoned needle causing her to become far more feral than her usual nature allowed. Attacking several townsfolk before Vincent was able to calm her and get her safely out of the city. Curing the poison was beyond his means and the due to other circumstances he felt he was left with no option but to mercifully put Kira down. Laying her still body before Amithrade without a word Vincent fell into a walking catatonic state. By the efforts of his sisters in faith, Callandra especially, Kira is healed and brought back by Avani's will just in time to prevent Vincent from falling back to his ways of being no more than a brawling thug.
• Kira being such a frequent traveler in and around town, Rhiannon and Amithrade have spoken and arranged with the town guard to let her pass freely on her own while wearing a green and gold ribbon around her neck. Because of this she is often carrying messages between the orphanage and Avani's grove, pleased as punch to be of use to the women who've taken such excellent care of her and her person.

Kieran

The Princess, as he refers to her, is the single greatest thing to ever enter his life. First becoming acquainted as Vincent trained for an upcoming battle against the threat of Nithogr. Fighting alongside her and Ji'mas, who he refers to as The Doc, sparks fly near immediately as Kieran confides that she very much wants him to come back alive. A promise he keeps despite his best efforts to take on challenges way over his head in the epic struggle which took place against the great lich dragon. It took some time for their relationship to become anything resembling romantic, though Vincent had no qualms with stealing a kiss from her now and then while still keeping his 'options open'. She was one of three women who came to see him off as he volunteered to be locked away during a full moon when risk of a Lycan curse was thought to flow in his veins.

Over time Vincent whimsical nature settled and he found himself drawn more and more to Kieran's company. They began seeing each other more seriously and soon she moved into his cottage. At the time Vincent decides he's never going to want to be with anyone else ever again in his life and plans to ask her to marry him, he leaves on what he opes is a quick trip to study the dark elves. Unfortunately he is captured instead and held prisoner by the Drow of Hala's Underdark. After escaping (along with a kobold slave he'd befriended) Vincent's first action after returning was to kneel and asked if his princess would accept him as her Knight in shining armor.

The two were married in Avani's grove by Rhiannon in front of all their friends and allies. A simple yet beautiful ceremony reflecting the nature of their love for one another. Their wedding bands are a matching set of silver, gold and platinum bands woven together. The words "Forever and Always" engraved inside.

Tattoos

Vincent is a walking canvas given the ever increasing number of tattoos that adorn his body:

• Across his upper back are a pair of black wings, given to him by his gang in Silesia to recognize his heritage as well as his dark nature at the time.
• Under his left shoulder blade in Druidic is his father's name, Aout
• Under his right shoulder blade in Celestial is his mother's name, Cayahiel

-Both the names have needed re'inking after Vincent's capture and torture by the Drow rendered them illegible.

• His right shin bears Druidic runes unique to his tribe
• His left shin bears the design of a woven branch, starting at three points at the ankle climbing in a vertical spiral and joining just below his knee on the left side. A single tulip at the top.
• Covering his right pectoral are a set of small red drake wings, outlined by a larger set of white drake wings. Symbolizing his caring and protection over Elric
• Spanning across his left side, just below his heart is a falcon, the symbol of Avani
• His collar bones have been inked to resemble the horns of a minotaur.

Scars

Each on telling it's own story, most obtained before Vincent studied and trained to become a healer. Those he earned after that time are kept as reminders.

• His forearms are riddled with crossing slash marks made by cheap knifes and broken glass bottles from the numerous fights and brawls he fought while in Silesia
• His back has dozens of small lines of welts, given to him by the 'lumberjack' Drow who's form he's taken for himself
• His chest has a deep white scar starting from his sternum clear up to his neckline. Given to him by a young Drow priestess forced to torture him by her older sister. Though it comes close, the scar edges just outside of the dragon tattoo

Fighting

• Started off learning to fight with nothing more than his fists, teeth, and furniture.
• Lacks the discipline of a seasoned fighter having now taken up a scimitar and shield. Talented enough to land a good strike now and then.
• Aggressive in his attacks and often the first to jump into the fray.
• Attacks appear to find their mark more often than they should, an observer would note he has either natural talent with the blade, or unnatural luck.
• The shield he carries is a massive bulk made of emerald and star metal which he wields with great ease. Decorated with a mighty oak tree to serve as a reminder of the resolve Vincent must carry within himself as one of Avani's chosen. The words "Good Will Prevail" stretch across the top as both a message to those standing with him, and a warning for those standing against him.

Forms

• Badger - Irresistibly adorable, cheery, squeezable. Badger-Vincent struts his stuff because he knows the ladies love badgers. The fur covering his head retains his natural forms hairstyle to include a small spike at the front. Most often used when competing in cuteness contest or to bring smiles to even the most sour of faces.
• Bear - Massive, powerful, laboring. Bear-Vincent is a hulking frame of muscle on par with giants and dragonborn. The heart and soul of Vincent's self run business Bear Granite Inc. a cart and harness are rigged to allow shifting and strapping himself in easily to haul massive loads of granite blocks for those in need of housing supplies.
• Wolf - Noble, proud, hungry. Wolf-Vincent stands at twice Kira's size but can still sneak up on an unaware meal in the wild. His fur is just as gorgeous and lush as his companions, however his snout, front paws and shoulders are laden with deep battle scars. There isn't a single one on the wolf's back, as he has never ran from a fight when this way. Often holding off any enemy while others could escape to safety.
• Wyrmling - Fast, fun, free. Though Vincent has mastered this form to alter and change his elemental affinity with ease, he prefers to take on the White variety. The first time he was able to accomplish this was when his son Elric first hatched from his egg. Needing food and warmth, but frightened of the humanoid face looking down on him. Knowing it was either be successful or the young drake would starve himself Vincent pushed his limits, gathering all the knowledge he'd obtained studying the wyverns of Puomalia to make himself appear in a form Elric would accept. A strong flyer capable of braving storms and enemy fire over long distances, uses this form often to scout out ahead with his granted keen sight.
