History

Being raised by grandparents has its own ups and downs. His father Eliazor Jor’dre was a naturalist who studied all kinds of rare plants and animals. Nathan Jor’dre, Zach’s grandfather, was a ranger who introduced Eliazor to the beauty of nature. Father and son spent hours exploring the forest together until Nate decided to remain closer to home. Eliazor made his way deeper into the forest, often talking to the animals to guide him to newer and different plants where he studied their properties and uses. During one of these trips into the deep forest, Eliazor met Zach’s mother a nymph who charmed and seduced the inexperienced and bookish elf. Nine months later a bundle was left on the door step of the Jor’dre home with a simple note and packet of rare flower seeds saying the child was Eliazor’s and for him to care for the child.

Zach grew up charming everyone in sight, especially the females of his village. As a result, many of the men were quite jealous of the young boy. Eliazor loved the boy to be sure, but had not a clue as to how to care for an infant. Nate and his wife, Mira, stepped in and cared for their grandson. Zach cared little for nature like his father and grandfather did, but did respect it. Instead he found his talents lay in his voice and in playing music. And in charming girls.

At the age of "eight" by human standards when most boys find girls something to be avoided, Zach discovered he had a way with the fair sex. A simple smile or wink sent most females fluttering to do his bidding. And this only got worse the older Zach grew. Naturally, this infuriated his young male rivals as they only got compared to how “wonderful” Zach was.

Of course this was how Zach had to leave home. By the age of "18", Zach had quite a reputation in the land. He was caught “kissing” a girl who fiancee was not happy with the results. Zach insisted the girl had initiated the kissing (which in this case was actually true), but given the fact that Zach had been “kissing” every girl (or so it seemed) since he had hit puberty, no one believed him. Not wishing to shame his family further, he took a few gold coins and ran away from home.

Eventually, he made his way to the port and signed aboard as a crewman to pay for his passage. Finding he had a knack for sailing, Zach continued to sign aboard ships as a sailor, sailing further and further from home. While on these travels he heard of the gods and goddesses of Arkaz finding many of the sailors paid homage to Pelagia. He adopted the goddess as his own owing much of his luck to her good graces.

A storm wrecked the ship he was on and another found him bringing him to the Island of Nuvar upon which he finds himself.

In his time on Nuvar, Zach has found himself involved in many events. He studies at the Mage School on Nuvar where he currently holds the rank of Maestro. He is the first bard to reach that rank and is the Battlemaster of the Legion of Nuvar.

Appearance

Zach stands about 6’ tall and is built of solid muscle. His eyes are a hazel brown green with dark golden flecks hidden within the depths. His ears have a definite point to them like an elf’s ears, but not so pronounced as an elf’s. His hair is blonde with reddish highlights to it. In direct sunlight, there is a slight metallic glint to it. He wears it long and keeps it tied back out of his handsome face. He wears a gold earring in his left ear as a sign of his profession as a sailor. His hands are calloused from working on a ship, the fingertips especially. There are some battle scars across his chest from several battles at sea and more than a few bar fights. His skin is tan as if he is used to a life outdoors, but never seems to fade. He is smooth skinned as his elven heritage suggests. His dragonblood manifested itself probably due to his fey blood. Zach is a bronze dragonblood, very easy going and social like the kin he is relation to.
