OOC is an acronym for Out of Character
IC is an acronym for In Character
IG is an acronym for In Game

Overview

Out of Character, or OOC, is used to describe information that is known to the player but that the character him/herself has no knowledge of.

The use of OOC information IG by a player is viewed as cheating and used to often can lead to Vault Jailing or Banning.
