History
Named after the family of Draian Nuvar, the founder of Nuvar. The town was the first settlement formed on the island of Nuvar. It is mainly a human settlement though there are several nonhumans who make this island their home, and a great deal of demihuman travelers who frequent the town itself. The town was rebuilt after The Maker tried to punish the population for their efforts to prevent his retaining control of the great white dragon. It has since grown quite large.
The town features a inn, blacksmith, marketplace and a large section of private homes. The Temple District is the home to several large temples, including a temple to Olyrn. Nuvar features several buildings for the well being and community of its people, including a Community Center with an open marketplace, the Life Circle Hospital, and an Orphanage. The town also hosts the Nuvar Mage School. Several people of note live within the city limits, including the old seer, the High Cleric of Nuvar and the commander of the Nuvar Army.
Outside of the city are a large number of fields - which are worked by local farmers - and several logging camps.
The isle of Nuvar, and the town of Nuvar, are run by a ruling council consisting of seven members who live in the three main cities on the Isle. Nuvar is the largest of the three, and holds a city hall where most official functions take place. The current mayor of Nuvar, Suna, is often seen around the marketplace, where she runs a private shop.
