Goldie was born into the large farming family called Locksvery. They lived in a small village on Avlis and Goldie was the first child in generations to be born with any type of spell casting ability. From an early age, she could cast divine blessings. The village priest taught her what he could and her skills were encouraged to grow. It was never known what god granted her those blessings in those early days. She grew up using these blessings to aid her family and was considered a valuable member of the hard-working farming community.

Through means unknown to her, Goldie was swept away from her village one night and found herself in Elysia. Save for her quick temper, Goldie was personable and gentle, and made friends easily. Willow Riverbend, Thomas Drakkon, and Bruno Knotslinger are among those she met in these early days and became lifelong friends.

She was accepted by the god Cha'reth, Lord of Peace and Healing, who spoke to her the first time she offered a Jechan rose at His altar in Elysia. She received her holy robes and symbol from the god although He did not manifest. Upon her first trip into Cha’reth’s temple in Zvidureth, she received another gift from Cha'reth. Her golden blonde hair took on a greenish cast and remained green-gold for the rest of her life. She also changed her last name to Habibi'Noor. It was here that she met Da'emona who became a close friend and mentor.

Goldie became a Healer of Cha’reth and a protégé of Da’emona. Her sweetness and strong spirit caught the eye of Dameon Nepirtas, High Reaver of Maleki. He started calling her his “favorite Cha’rethite.” She, in turn, began the impossible task of attempting to redeem the infamous Slaughtermage.

In time, the two fell in love and chose to wed. Goldie left the Healers and Cha’reth. Not only did she question her suitability to follow the Lord of Peace, her engagement to the reigning High Reaver of Maleki caused such political turmoil that she felt she was a detriment to the Healers whom she still respected. Upon the eve of her wedding to Dameon, she converted to Maleki. It is commonly said that although she knelt in Maleki’s temple, it was her husband whom she truly worshipped.

After some years of marriage to Dameon, Goldie felt she needed to make a change. Although she adored her husband, Dameon was growing in power and Goldie felt he needed a wife who would not be lost in his shadow. Since she wanted her success to be on her own merit and not because she was Dameon’s wife, Goldie decided to seek her fortune off-world. With the help of friends, she found her way to Hala and later Arkaz.

It was on Arkaz that her life took an unexpected turn. Per her request, Dameon had met Goldie during her off-world travels. She wanted to tell him face-to-face that she was going to be traveling and why. Several weeks after their last meeting, Goldie discovered she was pregnant. She was neither willing to risk her unborn child to the dangers of plane-travel nor to being murdered by Dameon’s many enemies. She chose to make peaceful Nuvar on Arkaz her home.

Shortly after making the choice to remain on Arkaz, Goldie converted to the local goddess of Love, Devayani. Devayani was the perfect choice for Goldie as the goddess controlled all aspects of Love, both dark and light. Upon accepting Devayani, Goldie discovered that she was now the most powerful she had ever been in her entire life. Goldie saw this as a sign, confirming that Love is the most powerful force of all.

Da’emona was one of the first to find Goldie on Arkaz. Although reluctant to do so, she carried the news of Goldie’s pregnancy back to Dameon. History

Sonja Pyre was among the first of Arkaz’s natives to welcome Goldie. They quickly became close friends and Sonja introduced Goldie to her adopted daughter, the child-goddess Anna. Sonja became Goldie’s confidante and protector. When people came looking for Goldie, Sonja would closely question them before allowing them to see her.

Da’emona was one of the first to find Goldie on Arkaz. Although reluctant to do so, she carried the news of Goldie’s pregnancy back to Dameon. Other friends and associates soon found their way to Arkaz. Goldie’s location became a well-known secret to her friends, but she remained well-protected from those who would seek to murder Dameon’s child. Lady Nawen brought her Maidens to Arkaz to fight Nithhogr and swore to Goldie that neither she nor her Maidens would hunt the child, despite Dameon’s constant feuding with their Order.

Among her notable achievements was being responsible for the killing blow on Nithhogr (although the dracolich later returned) and later dealing the killing blow on the dracolich’s son, Nithhogr ‘Tor, which permanently killed him.

The child goddess, Anna, often visited her adopted mother, Sonja, and came to call Goldie “aunt.” She told Goldie that her baby was a girl. Goldie decided to name her Noor which means “light” in the hopes that she would be a light for her father.

Dameon rarely visited, devoting himself to mage politics. He finally visited again when Goldie was nearing the end of her pregnancy. He was pleased with his impending fatherhood. Later visits included his brother Darias who was also looking forward to becoming an uncle. They didn’t visit often which left Goldie’s friends both relieved and angered; relieved that Dameon’s dark influence wasn’t often seen yet angered since it left Goldie lonely and pining for her absent husband.

Goldie gave birth in the Temple of the Gods, surrounded by friends and family. Anna and Catherine Feard, a priestess of Devayani, both served as mid-wives. After many congratulations, Goldie and Dameon were left alone in Sacred Grounds with their newborn daughter. Dameon cut his hand and used the blood to draw arcane symbols over his child, softly whispering incantations.

Goldie’s life thereafter was centered on her daughter. All thoughts of power or plane-travel were gone. She was often seen in Old Hamlet with Noor, playing or telling stories. She delighted in motherhood. Many friends from Avlis made regular visits to share in her happiness. The tradition of several friends escorting a pregnant Goldie to/from Nuvar and Heroes’ Walk changed to escorting Goldie and baby Noor. Da’emona, Sonja, and others would also baby-sit for Goldie so she could join in the occasional adventure.

Dameon made more regular visits to spend time with his wife and daughter although those lessened as Noor grew older. Once while Dameon was visiting, Noor was kidnapped by a demon-like creature. Goldie, Dameon, Da’emona, and Eugene Hendricks found and rescued Noor. No one knows why the creature laid claim to Noor and it has yet to return.

Goldie was often very tired, something she attributed to new motherhood. But then Noor started growing unnaturally fast until Goldie had the equivalent of a toddler on her hands instead of an infant. Concerned, she asked Anna the cause. Anna wept, saying that “the old is giving way to the new.” She then explained that both Dameon and Goldie had demon blood far back in their family bloodlines. While this blood did not affect either of them, it was now combined in Noor and was awakening and affecting their child. This infernal heritage was causing Noor’s supernatural growth-rate and Goldie’s perpetual tiredness. Noor’s demonic blood had tapped into Goldie and was absorbing her very life-force. There was no cure save that of killing Noor. Noor would continue to grow up while Goldie weakened and died. Goldie refused to kill her daughter.

Goldie quietly informed family and friends about the situation. Many people researched for a safe resolution but to no avail. With her friends’ help, Goldie made preparations for her daughter’s future. Da’emona even adopted Goldie as her daughter, becoming Noor’s legal grandmother and Dameon’s mother-in-law.

Goldie died the day her daughter had a growth jump that leapt her to adulthood. Goldie was standing in Old Hamlet, speaking with friends when she grew terribly weak. Noor, also suffering, found her mother and they both collapsed. Goldie died and Noor underwent the transformation that aged her from child to adult. Goldie’s body disappeared, presumably taken by Devayani. A memorial was created by Bruno Knotslinger in her memory. (OOCly: A perceptive character may note that the word “wife” was not used in the memorial. This was a deliberate choice by Bruno who wished to omit any reference to Dameon from his dear friend’s memorial.)
